Connecting Balcony or Family Suite on Norwegian Star

There is a another thread going on about opening balcony dividers between cabins (try next page) apparently they are not opening them anymore due to fire hazard.

I don't believe the issue is fire hazard. It is more of a physical safety issue as in the door slamming on someone or slamming and breaking the partition glass.

OP did not seem to be asking about opening balconies, but connecting balcony cabins or selecting a family suite.

OP, it would help if you could tell about the group that is going to be sharing. Either one could be a good choice depending on the situation. Of course a suite is going to get you the suite perks which is pretty nice.
