Looking for Break Bulk Freighter Info

Recommended Posts

After reading some of the descriptions of freighter travel on container ships, and an explanation of the difference between them and break bulk freighters, I started searching for information on the latter. Thus far, I have been unable to locate any information about them, and was wondering if:

1. there are still any out there that carry passengers

2. there is a website I might consult for information

Thanks for your help.

Beardedguy, Yes, there are still freighters other than container ships that carry passengers, but not many. Try these places:

Most breakbulk ships today carry things that don't lend themselves to containerization, such as large machinery, project cargo, structural steel, and heavy-lift cargo.
