redhead621 Posted September 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2011 Can anyone tell me if the Dawn has one of those giant screens that they have Wii on? Just thinking that it would be a great place to watch a football game this Sunday.
luddite Posted September 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2011 Hopefully it doesn't have one. It didn't a couple of years ago when we were on her.

luddite Posted September 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2011 I just saw the mention of Wii. They had that in a sports bar. I misunderstood and thought the original query was in regard to a giant screen at the pool deck.
Tatka Posted September 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2011 I love big screens... on Princess, or at least on Carnivals where you have a choice of pools. On Dawn there is one pool if you don't count a kiddie's pool in the aft.
coffeebean Posted September 23, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 23, 2011 I love big screens... on Princess, or at least on Carnivals where you have a choice of pools. On Dawn there is one pool if you don't count a kiddie's pool in the aft. There is another pool in the spa but you have to pay to use the spa facilities. It is a wonderful pool and one to swim short laps in.
bakerintn Posted September 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 23, 2011 I know that the Pearl has a big screen in the central atrium, but i don't remember one on the Dawn. The Dawn has the multi story atrium and the glass elevators there.

richs52 Posted September 23, 2011 #10 Share Posted September 23, 2011 Most football games are showed in the Pearly Kings Pub (along with Wii playing). Though last week on the Dawn they did play the Monday night Patriots game on the big screen in the Atrium and set up chairs for people to watch. redhead621 Posted September 23, 2011 Author #11 Share Posted September 23, 2011 I will find a place to watch the game. Thought that if they had the screen on the atrium like the Pearl I could catch the game there. There is no vacation from football.

bryanjaync Posted September 23, 2011 #14 Share Posted September 23, 2011 Having been ships that have docked next to Carnival and Princess ships with big screens at the pool. I will NEVER sail on a ship with the tremendously loud, blaring screens. NEVER. Deal killer for me.

You won't hear sound in any of the remaining pool areas.:)

OOPs. Just read that you are on board. Enjoy the game!
redhead621 Posted September 30, 2011 Author #18 Share Posted September 30, 2011 Just a follow up to my question. I am just off the Dawn. The ship televised the Patriots game in the theater, the Atrium, Pearly King's Pub and on the stateroom televisions. Pearly Kings is the go to place for sporting events. They were showing the baseball games in there.
