vacationdreaming Posted March 31, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2005 I am considering an August 27 cruise on the Zuiderdam. I have options for a VA or VB categoy balcony cabin (6154 or 4183) at the aft of the ship, or several choices for balconies in the same VA, VB, or VC categories on the side of the ship. Can anyone suggest the best option?
Brucemcdou Posted March 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2005 Hi, Vacationdreaming - If by "aft" you mean facing aft, I'd recommend taking one of those. The aft-facing cabins have larger balconies than the cabins on the sides, the balconies are more private, and you're more protected from any wind/breeze when the ship is moving. Also, watching the wake of the ship is hypnotic and relaxing. The only downsides are that you may feel more motion than on the sides (just like a cabin in the very front of the ship), and you're further away from anything in the front of the ship - the Theater, the Crow's Nest. But we could all use a little exercise on a cruise, couldn't we? Have a great cruise whatever you choose!
vacationdreaming Posted March 31, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted March 31, 2005 Thanks for the information. I was leaning toward selecting the aft cabin facing the rear of the ship. And, yes, we need every bit of exercise we can get to burn some of the calories consumed during the cruise! Happy cruising.
