Desertbelle Posted September 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2011 We are considering booking this week on the Mariner of the Seas. We have never been on a Voyager class ship yet, so we have no personal experience of cabin locations. I would appreciate any help or direction. Thanks!! dsvd79 Posted September 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2011 1388 or 1688 D1 are the best for Voyager class. The room is the size of a JS, and the balcony is huge!
superstarvic Posted September 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Hello, We sailed the Mariner in Nov 2009 the Mexican Riveria and Had a D1 cabin 9654 and were really really happy with location.:)

It's only their location on the ship that differs. If you can walk 10 extra steps, sometimes that means saving $.
Desertbelle Posted September 27, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted September 27, 2011 The cabins themselves are exactly the same. It's only their location on the ship that differs. If you can walk 10 extra steps, sometimes that means saving $. We understand that, after all we've cruised many, many times. But, I know from being on Cruise Critic for several years that there are coveted cabins on some of the different ships and since this will be our first on a Voyager class I wanted to see if there were some of those super cabins available. dsvd79, thanks for those cabin numbers, after you answered I remembered hearing about those prized cabins. Now to see if they are available....probably not. But, it's worth asking. :)
vickiw0318 Posted September 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2011 I know others have mentioned liking their two neighbors - 1390 and 1690. The corner afts on Deck 7 are "E" cabins, but have fantastic balconies - a little larger than the corners on Deck 10. We usually book a JS, but had one of these on our February Adventure cruise and dealt with the smaller cabin just fine. All in all though, I do think the Deck 10 corners are my favorites. There are also D1s on the hump on Deck 9 that are desirable because of location.
Sequim88 Posted September 27, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2011 1388 or 1688 D1 are the best for Voyager class. The room is the size of a JS Room is as wide as JS but is shorter and one corner (along balcony) is cut off. So square footage is same as other D1s but would seem roomier due to width. But from posts in other threads these do seem to be much coveted in that category.
mafig Posted September 27, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 27, 2011 I'm considering Navigator for next year. It's been quite awhile since I've been on this class ship. How are the E2s on the 7th deck hump?
