Rental Cars

I will be renting a car for the week prior to my Magic cruise in Dec, and will be dropping it off at Cape Canaveral (Budget Rent-a-Car). I also have booked a Budget car for the day of disembarkation from Cape Canaveral to the airport for a late PM flight. Has anyone had any problems with getting picked up by Budget at the pier?

We used budget when we went. Had no problems getting picked up after the cruise - went to the rental car area and there was a shuttle there within minutes. However, when we dropped the car off pre-cruise - they were short cars. Lots of unhappy people there - and it took forever for us to be shuttled TO the port... we had to wait almost an hour.

We had reserved a van with Budget to be picked up after our recent Mariner cruise. When we got off the ship, there were about 60 people waiting for the one shuttle to the rental office in Cocoa Beach. My husband just grabbed a taxi and for about $12 or $14 was back with our van in no time at all.
