"Free" drinks on board

Recommended Posts

On Princess, coffee, decaf, tea & iced tea and water were free all day (that's not bottled water, just a machine with water, ice or both at the same place you get tea & coffee, etc.). Juice is free at breakfast. If you buy the soda card ($25 for a 7-day cruise) you get unlimited Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Ginger Ale & (I think it's) soda & tonic water from the fountains (not cans or bottles).

I don't drink drink soda, so we didn't buy a soda card for me. My husband drinks diet soda and can't have any caffeine. Unfortunately, Princess doesn't offer a caffeine free diet cola with the soda card, it has to be purchased in a can.

So the soda card would have been of no use to us.

Before you buy the card, make sure your favorite beverage is offered.

Just sailed NCL.....only iced tea, water, milk, and coffee were available at all times for free. Orange juice was available at breakfast, including at the buffet, but they removed the orange juice by noon.

The soda card cost $28 on NCL, and you had to carry around this thermos where they put the soda for you. You could just get a new cup everytime you wanted a soda.
