Two questions - casino & past guest party

Hello all!

 

Does anyone have the answers to the below questions:

 

Is the minimum bet still $5 on the blackjack tables?

 

And, does anyone know when the past guest party is held on the 8 day Freedom cruise? We're both past guests but I've heard a lot of people aren't getting their invitations on Carnival like usual and miss it.

Last cruise min was $ 6.

It usually depends on how many past guests on onboard on where they hold the party. The last time there were so many that we held in the main show lounge.

This is what it was on our Liberty cruise in July. All tables now have the optional "Pairs" bet, for $1.00. I didn't find out until day 3 of the cruise, but you can bet $5 on the hand and $1 on the Pairs bet, and that qualifies for the $6 minimum. After I found out about it, I did that all the time. Don't know if I made out better or not, but I hit pair pretty frequently. Of course, by doing that, I didn't get paid the extra $1 if my hand was a winner, or the $1.50 if I got black jack.
