aeropain Posted April 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2005 Has anyone stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Vancouver? We are thinking of staying there for a couple nights before our cruise which departs from Vancouver. Thanks.
vbacht Posted April 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2005 I think you will be happy with your choice. It's in a good location to shopping and restaurants. Downtown Vancouver is not that big of a City, if you like to walk Stanley Park is probably about a 20 minute walk. Hope this helps!!!!
captainron Posted April 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2005 While Crowne Plaza is nice downtown, what is even nicer is to get a high level room in the Pan Pacific Hotel overlooking the cruise terminal. Then it's close to everything in town by a short taxi ride and only a three minute walk downstairs to check in for your ship. All this being said, there are two cruise teminals in Vancouver...Ballantyne Pier which is a ten minute cab ride from downtown or the Vancouver Cruiseship Terminal located at the foot of Granville Street. Inquire from your TA rfom which pier you'll be embarking, so.... Ciao for now!!!
MichTraveler Posted April 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2005 Aeropain: Welcome to the CC boards and your first post. We stayed at the Crowne Plaze (Georgia Hotel) for our pre-cruise in May/2003. We loved it. Close to Robson street shopping, and a mall across the street. It is a tall building and we were on the top floor. We are Proirity Club Platium members and used FF points for a free stay, yet we were treated as if we were paying full price. Easy transportation from YVR airport using the "downtown hotels" shuttle for about $12/each. The breakfast buffet was an excellent way to start the day. Have a great trip!
