jenms2000 Posted October 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2011 I just checked my cruise docs to see how much the balance due is and noticed my cruise rate had increased!!! It is suppose to be $889 and the rate showing is $1048.....$159pp more. I just got off the phone with CCL and guess what?!? It was caused from a glitch in the system!!! Please check you cruise docs and make sure your rate is correct, especially if you have a balance due. The lady corrected mine but I would suggest keeping an email or maybe printing your details page with the correct rate just in case this happens to you. I saved an email from the last price drop showing the rate of $889. I didn't have to send it but I was glad I had it!:)

Raven Days Posted October 3, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2011 I have had such issues with mine changing that I nearly had a panic attack getting over there to check today! Every time I got a price drop my price would increase showing I owed a balance on an already paid off cruise! It was hell to get fixed and usually involved some tears...mine! But it looks ok now. When I get to work this a.m I am going to screen print it and save it. I will also print it out..again to show the date...and take it with me...just in case. Thanks for the heads up! Sorry it happened to you.
crusinpsychRN Posted October 3, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 3, 2011 They made a mistake on mine also. I paid in full and site showed it was $10.01 more. They said I'd get OBC which I didn't like and then of course, no OBC. It was fixed after 3 days since "Miami isn't open on Saturday and Monday is a holiday." footballbabe3 Posted October 3, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2011 The same thing happened to us. I called Carnival and they took care of it lickety split. Things happen you justy have to keep your eye on things.
deetrayn Posted October 3, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 3, 2011 The same thing happened to me. I noticed this on Saturday. I called, and they took care of the "glitch". It was scary for a moment though. My cruise was paid off in February, and all of a sudden, I have a balance due.
S.S.Oceanlover Posted October 3, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 3, 2011 how does such a profitable corporation have such a lousy computer system? There are always some kinds of glitches with their system. Bill
Irishlinny Posted October 3, 2011 #10 Share Posted October 3, 2011 The many "glitches" in their system lately are beginning to erode confidence in the corporation and the product....I've had ridiculous encounters in the last several months trying to fix all the glitches, and not for nothing, but my time is valuable, as it is for all of us. As Bill pointed out, there is just no reason for a large and successful company like Carnival to have so very many computer problems:rolleyes:
