WOW New boards....

I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about separating all of the river cruise lines. It was kind of nice to be able to read everyone's comments about their cruises, since so many of the lines do similar itineraries. It is, however, nice to be able to isolate the Avalon posts as well! Guess I'll just have to visit each individual forum to keep up to date!

I agree.... Not sure about the separation.

 

I wonder where generic posts (ie: asking for advice about cruising the Danube...) will be posted?

I was wondering that as well, also folks wanting to compare different lines. I think that we are all very impartial and informative over here and we just try to help everybody find the best fit for their cruise. It'll be interesting because on the main cruise boards folks just tend to tout their own favorite, where over here we try to weigh pros and cons and listen to each other. The river cruise board was invaluable to me when planning our first river cruise and it was because there were so many people willing to share information in such a nice way.

Just discovered the new formatting on CC and I am enjoying scouring the new boards. Just saying, I am looking at anything from Zurich/Basel to Amsterdam, no matter which river cruise, but if I can share with my travelling friends info specific on Avalon, that's a good thing. Have found if you know what to expect from a trip/airline/hotel/etc then disappointments are lessened and surprises are diverted.
