uromac Posted October 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2011 Hi! We coming up on our 90 day booking time - and as we haven't been on Royal Caribbean in a long time, would like to experience the best this ship has to offer both in dining and shows in our limited 5 night cruise time. As we are real foodies and would like to book as soon as it opens up, what are the must eat places, order you would suggest to dine (not sure on a 5 night which night is 'formal'), and the recommended times for reserving them allowing for us to also catch the best shows - as of now, I cannot find the show schedule with times for this cruise - Jan. 3, 2012? FYI - we are an adult family of 4 (18 &22), have 'any time dining', but plan to dine only at specialty venues for this cruise (no flames please ;)!) usually dine later however, dining times are not an issue but we would like to take our time and enjoy the meals as well as see the shows! Thanks in advance for your help! Melissa :)
Carsc1 Posted October 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2011 We will be on the same cruise and have the same questions as well! We are waiting(impatiently) to finally be able to see the schedule and start booking things. I would think it should be any day now.
AlanAllyn Posted October 5, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2011 On the regular 7-day itinerary, most of the shows had a performance starting after 10:30. Only the ice show did not, but it has a performance at 3:00 on the last sea day. So, if dining opens first (which it did for our cruise in November), you could likely be safe eating at 7:30 or 8. As far as dining, we enjoyed Chops and Giovanni's very much. Since we do not eat meat, we are more limited and did not try Samba, 150 Central Park or the Chef's dinner, but all have gotten mostly favorable comments on here. Bellalago Breeze Posted October 5, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2011 150 Central Park is the "must do" specialty restaurant followed by Chops, Samba Grill & Giovanni's Table. If you are looking for a real fun experience, do Rita's Fiesta
Sunkissed Mommy Posted October 5, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I am sailing on Dec 18th this year and the dining opened up a month or two ago for us. I booked specialty restaurants early last month. I would suggest going in a trying to book!
