We have just preordered some casino credits, our travel agent told us in future we should book through casino host department - she believes they would give us large discounts on future cruises, has anyone experienced this?

You can Order Casino Credits but I dont think it will help you with future discounts....Only once your Rated in the Casino or by your slot Play, then you might get Lucky with some future discounts...
