PenguinLife Posted October 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2011 $20 - $50, but we have casinos near home so it is no big deal.
Catrin Posted October 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2011 It used to be $200. Then $100 Then $50. Now it is 0. Just one free entry in the Slot Tourney with our Platinum Benefits... that's it.
NanciRDH Posted October 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2011 I feed the slots and usually limit myself to $20 a night...any winnings are fair game to keep playing. We don't visit every night though. DH is more generous with his donation, maybe $100, but he's a blackjack player with better luck than me, and his winnings make up for my losses. Gayle V Posted October 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2011 I don't gamble at all. If you never, ever win there is no temptation to ever gamble. But hubby is another matter. He puts two twenties in his pocket every evening as we leave the cabin. I usually leave him in the casino sometime after the evening show, and if he gets back to the cabin early, I know those forty bucks are gone. If he's late, then he has likely come out ahead. krissyj89 Posted October 9, 2011 #11 Share Posted October 9, 2011 The last time I was at a casino, I put in $1 just to see how far I could go on it. Won about $10 off it, but lost it all back, lol. Not bad for just $1, though

T. Advisor King Posted October 9, 2011 #13 Share Posted October 9, 2011 Zero dollars. Been to Vegas ... how many times now ... 5 and going back next month. Have gambled a total of about $75 in those trips and lost it all. The house always wins, and I get no thrill out of running an account and pushing a button and seeing my balance steadily decrease. I was up about $7 once. I should have cashed out.
VirtualCEO Posted October 9, 2011 #14 Share Posted October 9, 2011 I understand the minimum bet at Blackjack is $5.00 this year. So much for gambling! $5 last year, $6 this year. Seems normal, all of the casinos in south florida are $5/hand minimum on blackjack and they have about 2 tables, the rest are $15+
luvscruising2007 Posted October 9, 2011 #15 Share Posted October 9, 2011 We set a budget, generally $10 per night, per person. When it is gone, it is gone. Sometimes it lasts for awhile; sometimes it lasts about 10 minutes. On our last cruise we won, cashed out and didn't go back.
popsec Posted October 9, 2011 #16 Share Posted October 9, 2011 I understand the minimum bet at Blackjack is $5.00 this year. So much for gambling! Actually the minimum bet on the blackjack table this year is $6 (they're trying to get you to play the "sucker" pairs plus bet with the extra dollar, I think)

sealpup Posted October 9, 2011 #19 Share Posted October 9, 2011 no more than 20 per day but I am cruising with my sister in two weeks and on the last cruise she brought 500 per day/ she tends to be lucky. When I cruised with my friend 3 years ago I played at leastr 2-3 hours each day and only lost $ 7 for an 7 night cruise.
donaldsc Posted October 9, 2011 #20 Share Posted October 9, 2011 in the casino? Wondering what the average is person spends? We spend about $100 last cruise. Zero. Gambling is stupid because the house always wins in the end. You might as well flush your money down the toilet and save yourself the effort of loosing it in the casino. Cruzface Posted October 9, 2011 #21 Share Posted October 9, 2011 Whatever change we accumulate over the year is our gambling fund for the cruise. Usually about $200-$300.
carbreylynn Posted October 9, 2011 #22 Share Posted October 9, 2011 Well we live in Oklahoma so we gamble every weekend but on the cruise we double our weekly casino budget and spend $500-$600. But we won about $800 so it was in our favor!

sc_wildman Posted October 9, 2011 #25 Share Posted October 9, 2011 DW and I take $300.00 for a 7 day cruise, same amount every cruise. Some cruises we come out ahead, sometimes we lose it all. We budget for this amount, because it allows us to spend a few hours each evening in the casino having fun and socializing. Most we've ever won was $900.00 and the most we've ever lost was....yep $300.00. :). As others have stated we have this set amount, when it's gone we are done.
