Let it Ride??

I am heading out on the Carnival Legend in 33 days. I have been practiced online gaming for Let it Ride. It seems like this is how the casinos play it. Here is the practice site i have been using

when i sit at the table do i put 3 ($5) chips down at first then remove/or let it ride one at a time as each card is flopped ...does that make sense? I have never played table games, only slots and would love to sit down and feel confident.

If someone can explain it to me I would be greatly appreciative!

You are dealt 3 cards face down with 3 $5 bets down. If you are dealt a pair of tens or better, you let it ride; you are a winner on all three bets. If not a pair of tens or better, pull back your first bet. The dealer flips a community card face up. You add it to your 3 cards to try and make a hand of 10's or better. If you don't, pull back your second bet. The dealer then fliups his second card. the dealer then pays all handss with tens or better. You could be paid on all 3 bets if you have 10's or better and have left all 3 bets on the table. It is a very simple game to play. The odds on all hands are listed at the table. There is a bonus bet you can make if you like at the start of each hand. The payout is based on the 3 cards dealt to you; like 3 card poker. There is a seperate payout for this seperate game. You have to leave this bet. There is also a $1 bonus bet which is a house bet which will pay you a bonus for 2 pairs or better.

I agree that Let It Ride is a friendly game! One of my daughters just LOVES it! It is a bit slow for me....but many dealers in Vegas have told me that the difference between this game and others is that in this game you are not playing against anyone. Everyone is just trying to make a hand of a pair of 10's or better. With blackjack for instance, people can complain that you "stole" their hit card, should not have hit......so it makes it a bit more contentious in some cases. With Let It Ride, your hands are dealt and there is nothing that you can do to affect anyone elses hands, so everyone sort of "cheers" for each other. I also think that since it is a slower game, that the money lasts longer than in blackjack. Just be sure to pull the first of your three bets if you don't have a pair of 10's or better! That makes the money last longer and you can usually hang around for quite a spell even when you don't hit a winning hand.

Love Let It Ride.....Its a Easy, Fun Game that even if you've been drinking alittle:o too much.......You can still be in control and Not Make Any Crucial Mistakes...

 

A Few months back we were at a Harrahs Rincon in California and were playing "Let It Ride"and one guy Actually hit a Royal Flush....First time I've seen someone do it.....Forgot how much he had bet but he got paid close to $5,000 and gave everyone at the table a $25 Chip.....He was a really nice guy.......We didnt win that trip on Let It Ride but did alot better on the 3-Card Poker Table and Slots.......

 

We Play Almost Everything :eek: from Slots, Video Poker, Texas Holdem, Craps, 3 Card Poker, Let it Ride, Caribbean Stud, Black Jack,Roulette and whatever else may be happening.....So if one or two games is going bad hopefully we'll hit it good on something else......The Bad Side is, If All the Game are Running Cold......:eek: which has happened...:mad:

 

Cant wait to hit the Casino on Our Nov 9th Cruise...DW plays alot also but sometimes say it seems like I Live in the Casino..... :rolleyes:....I told her this trip I'd make it a point to atleast go to a few shows....;)

I hit 4 of a kind on Destiny paid $900. plus I had $5 bet for the dealer so she took $250. Haven't won anything since playing in Nevada

I've played thousands of hands of LIR & found out that I'm better off in the long run if I "look at 1" if I have a small pair & also if I have 3 cards that are 10 or higher even if their not paired up. Looking at 1 with a small pair pays big dividend if you get 4 of a kind, & I have on several ocassions.

I also do this every time. People think I'm crazy, but I've hit four 4 of a kinds this way. Often catch 2 pair too. Once I was playing $5 for the dealer and they split it $2 on pair plus and $1 on each bet. I got two 4s and held and they wanted me to pull back, but I refused. They then flipped over 2 fours. It was a thing of beauty. Almost 2K on a $10 bet.
