legalwife Posted October 19, 2011 #26 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Hi Judy: Nice review. Enjoyed reliving parts of our trip this summer! Great pictures too. We are not the best photographers and I admire your ability. Bummer about the balcony not being covered. The covered balconies definitely come in handy in Alaska. TA should have told you, but if you do not use one and book yourself, try to find an exterior picture of the ship you are going on and pinpoint your cabin. Use the lifeboats and count the decks in relation to your cabin. You will see that several of the lines have "angled" balconies. Some people love the open air but others prefer coverage and more privacy. We prefer covered ourselves. If it is any consolation, our last cruise a few weeks back had rain and lightening so much that son and friends could not find any time to go to beach and swim in beautiful blue water. DH and I had gone to Sheraton so we got in about an hour and a half which was nice before the monsoon, but hated it for the kids. Looking forward to our trip in January! :)
OnePsychLynne Posted October 19, 2011 #27 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Prairie Gal...I agree with the other comments-you're pictures are lovely. What kind of camera were you using?

Prairie_Gal Posted October 22, 2011 Author #29 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Thanks for all your kind comments, everyone. :) I have a Fujifilm S3100, and a pocket size Nikon Coolpix. Neither one is a fancy (or expensive) camera. I just think the scenery in Alaska is so beautiful it is easy to get good shots.
