Fox (World Series) on Jewel!?!?

Hi all, very excited about our cruise on the Jewel in less than 2 weeks, but one problem. I'm a huge baseball (St. Louis Cardinals) fan and booked the trip when I thought my Cards were out of it. If I knew they had a chance, I wouldn't have booked it for that time. Its now very possible they'll be in the World Series while I'm on the cruise.

Please tell me that Fox is available in the rooms or the World Series games will be shown at a bar or anywhere on the ship!?! Thanks!!

There are several flat screen TV's in Maltings Bar. Always some type of sports on them. Was told by Big Lou (fellow CC'er here) who traveled with us last year on Jewel that he watched several sporting events on the HUGE screen in Java cafe. The flat screens in Maltings aren't that big - 48 inches maybe? So java would definitely be your Cardinal fix spot:D

They're underdogs --- I hope they win!!!

I assume you are on the 10/22 Jewel cruise, same as us. Come join our rollcall. The link is in my signature.

I would think you'll be able to watch the World Series, but I sure hope it doesn't mess with my NFL football. Last cruise on the Gem they showed one of each of the three Sunday football games, the Monday night game and the Thursday night game. I would think the World Series would take preference so I'll be the one out of luck if they don't show both. They do have Fox but they determine which "Fox" satellite they pick up.

On the Gem this past week, they showed all the major sporting events (NFL, College Football, baseball, etc) in the bars. Additionally, the staterooms had the NFL channel, so if you are more interested in NFL than baseball when it is being shown, there's that option as well. Have a wonderful trip, we certainly did!

We were on the Pearl during the Yankee-Philly WS a few years back, and each night, they showed the games on the 2 story screen in the main lobby, and each night it was FILLED with fans of both teams decked out in their colors....Be sure to pack hats, jerseys, etc.....
