Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted October 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2011 We don't need anything special (adaptor) to charge cell phones or iPads do we? You mean a voltage adaptor? No, just the cord and/or adaptor of the device that you normally use at home. With cell phones, laptop, camera batteries, we travel with a ridiculous amount of cords and chargers. eh2zed Posted October 11, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2011 Whatever you use at home. Same voltage and plug configuration.
slimknyzer Posted October 11, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2011 Since there is only one 110 outlet in the stateroom, we bring a three-way plug adapter along...helps with iPad/iPhone/ camera, etc.
yatsunil Posted October 11, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2011 What about those of us whose gear needs 220V? This is only my second cruise and I can't remember what I did the first time round!

All of the HAL ships I have been on have both 110V and 220V outlets so you are covered.

All of the HAL ships I have been on have both 110V and 220V outlets so you are covered. The 220-240V outlet may be a European Schuko type, so make sure that you have any necessary adaptors for your plugs to go into a Schuko socket. Thanks Globaliser! And you too Padraic for the quick responses. I have the neccessary pin-sockets adapters and will definitely bring them. Good to know that I don't need a step up/down converter. Cheers!
