paddy Anne Posted October 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2011 After the final payment can you get the lower price if prices drop? cheers
B and C Blake Posted October 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2011 Only if you booked ES.
kelzbelz77 Posted October 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2011 Lets say you are booked in an 8A and you see anything above that, you can be upgraded but no OBC for the lower price unless you book early saver.
SoonerOne Posted October 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2011 I book ES and get OBC when the price drops which is just fine with me:D
BenjiRodney Posted October 12, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2011 That is why I have booked ES on the last two cruises. I like the OBC.
paddy Anne Posted October 12, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted October 12, 2011 What does ES mean? YOu book really early? And what is OBC and how do you get that. I am lost here :(
bonnie&clydecruzers Posted October 12, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 12, 2011 ES is early saver. You have this option when you book your cruise more than 6 months out. Then if your price drops after final payment, they will not refund you the $, but give you onboard credit (OBC). This is the advantage of early saver, otherwise after final payment your only option is to get upgraded, but no refunds.

So if I have an inside and prices drop I might get a window:D?

supermom123 Posted October 13, 2011 #11 Share Posted October 13, 2011 May I ask how this would apply to a past guest fare? Just booked my 2nd Carnival cruise with a past guest fare. If there is a price reduction, am I eligible for an OBC? Final payment for me is not until Dec 6th. I am very pleased with the fare I am paying, but an OBC would be a nice bonus if I am eligible for it. Thanks!
richfret Posted October 13, 2011 #12 Share Posted October 13, 2011 Just remember with ES, you are screwed if you get sick or have a death in the family and can't make the cruise. Like the Carnival Casino, it's another gamble only they win all the time.

If the price drops between now and final payment, call whomever booked the cruise and get your fare adjusted.

Like the Carnival Casino, it's another gamble only they win all the time. You can change your cruise to another one and only lose $50. The deposit is non refundable, but you can apply it to a different cruise.
