Wine service in dining rooms and buffet

Hi, I will be new to NCL, probably on the Spirit. Typically we have white and red wine at dinner and order about 4 courses of food.

We probably will carry on wine with the corkage fee. Is there a wine steward or is the waiter your wine server? Can you bring the wine to dining room ahead of time or do you bring it with you at the time to eat? How does NCL handle the wine bottles, are they at the table or do they pour your wine? Do you get white wine glasses and red wine glasses or do they just use one size for wine??

Also how about wine in the buffet area? Do they sell it? Do they have the glasses somewhere convenient?

All info and suggestions welcome.

If you brought the wine, I would bring it to the dining room yourself.

Red is left on the table...white goes in the bucket...always had waiter serve.

They have red and white glasses

There is a manned-bar station in the buffet for beer and wine.

The server uncorked and served our wine. We had white so it stayed in a bucket tableside and she periodically asked if we wanted more. They then put a sticker on it and took it to their galley cooler. it was available for our next meal. It did not matter where we planned to dine. They must store the bottles by name or room number or something. That way we did not have to take it back to the room. However, if you want to enjoy it in your room you can take it with you...

We have at times asked our cabin steward (in the morning) to deliver our bottle of wine to whatever restaurant we will be dining in that evening. That way if we want to go to a show or music spot we don't have to carry it around the ship. Also have asked to have it delivered early if it needs to be decanted. they have always been more than agreeable to doing this. The waiters have been great at pouring when needed. I think they only have 1-2 sommeliers onboard if even that on NCL. We usually meet them at the wine tasting class. They have usually been the one to decant our wine but not always.
