Musica & Slendida b2b cruises

We are back from doing back to back cruises on the Musica & Splendida ships. We had read a lot on cruise critic before we left and found it fantastic and it helped us to be aware of so many things in so many of the ports we visited. We were 3 couples travelling from Australia and we absolutely loved our cruises. We especially loved the Musica as it wasn't as big as the Splendida and probably because it was our first cruise with MSC. We could not really complain about anything as it was just a great Italian experience for us. We had the all inclusive drinks package on both ships which we would highley recommend. We could have all the bottled water we wanted (it was really hot so we drank heaps of water) also any white, red or sparkly wine (not champagne) any beer, any fresh juices form the Vitamin Bar (we loved these) and any non-alcholic cocktails (they were so lovely of an afternoon around the pool). Also any speciality coffees eg cuppacino, latte etc. We had no problem with queues at the buffet lunch or breakfast like we had read on cruise critic from other people and there were always so many choices of everything. If we could complain about anything then it would probably be that it was hard to get eggs hot in the buffet or the dinning room and the toast is more like warm bread than toast, apart from that, everything else was lovely. We had really good port stops eg. Greek Isles, Dubrovonik then Marjorca, Bacrcelona & Marseilles on the Splendida. Note: We never took the MSC bus to the townships at all, we always either got a local bus or taxi....so much cheaper!!! All in all we had a fantastic time and would recommend as it is a great way to sample some of these fantastic countries!!! One other thing that I should mention about the b2b cruises is that we were a little disappointed in the fact that the meals were the exact same on both ships each night. We would have liked to have had a different experience with our meals on the 2nd ship.

Hi Norwegian Cruiser 73,

We paid $41 Australian dollars per person per day which is approx $31 Euro's. At first we thought maybe we wouldn't drink all that but when you start adding up the amount of water & coffee we had not to mention the wine & beer each afternoon and night, it certainly adds up. Then there is also the cocktails that are so yummy. Keep in mind if you don't have a package then every drink you purchase also has an extra 15% added to the price. All packages must be purchased at least 1 month before departure because once you get on board you cannot purchase any packages at all.
