Adonia Fly Cruise Bargain

Just seen a cruise on Adonia for 14 nights leaving on 6th Dec to Eastern Med for £799 for a balcony cabin incl flights from London.

Does this suggest that P&Os decision to base her in the Med for winter for fly cruises was a bad one? Could it be that her target clientelle dont want to fly?

Great price. Also seen a 14 night TA on Ventura to Barbados, balcony for £899 for next week.

Don't know how much impact your interesting suggestions make, but you can always pick up a real bargain in that run up to Christmas. Not many people want to cruise up to the 20th December.

Some impressive prices, could have something to do with the move south. Perhaps there isn't as large a demand for flycruising to the Med as previously thought?

Out of interest where have you been seeing these prices? Any internet locations?

There is a 30 nighter on AUrora which is going for 1499 and there is no flying involved... so there are plenty of winter deals around.;)

Thats good for Aurora which seems to attract a premium due to regular clientelle. The xmas cruise on Aurora is pretty pricey.

We're booked on D114, the cheap Adonia cruise. It is very cheep, you pay in full at time of booking and the weather is a real gamble.

Booking is for a guaranteed cabin but we were "upgraded" and cabin allocated within 5 days of booking.

Flying is with Thomson Airlines from Manchester direct with only 20kg allowance so a bit tight for a cruise with 4 formal nights and 4 semi formal.

Will let you know how it goes when we get back.

Word of warning .. east Med in thee winter can be rough, and the Adonia is not a sea friendly vessel (as experienced coming back from Norway).

We've just got a bargain for 22 Nov cruise D113. We know the med will probably be rough and a tad chilly but we were booking this cruise in First Choice at the weekend and the price dropped from £2200pp (cruise + flights) for a deluxe balcony to £800pp.

If you want to sunbathe or get sea sick then I'd give this a miss but if you like the itinerary and fancy a break its daft to pay more.

The only unknown for us is P&O as we've never sailed with them before. We have done Silversea, Seabourn, Azamara and Princess and though we dont expect them to match the first 3 we hope they can beat Princess :)
