traffic problems? Need help!

We were leaning towards going to Dawn Beach but have never been to Orient Beach. I've read about traffic problems (thanks Gary!) We just want a nice relaxing day at a beautiful beach with no stress getting back to the ship.

Not to worry.

 

There are absolutely no traffic problems between the Cruise Facility and either Dawn or Orient Beach.

 

Allow 20 minutes to Dawn or 30 minutes to Orient and it should be a bit less.

Gary, thank you! I really appreciate your posts! Which beach would you suggest? We do not snorkel but enjoy swimming. We also would like to have a restaurant close by that isn't too pricey. We would need shade or umbrella, too.

If you haven't been, I'd head for Orient.

 

I would suggest Orange Fever, near the Pedro's taxi drop, for chairs and umbrella with drink and bathroom privileges for about $7 pp my last time there, and a fantastic burger with fries and an ice cold Presidente beer for $12.

A bucket of 6 Coors Light was $10 when we were there. Food was also good.

We've never been to Orient Beach only to Marigot on a ship excursion quite a few years ago. Sounds like Orange Fever it is!
