When would you plan to see azaleas in 2012?

Hey, I know that no one can forecast the weather or gardening. But if you were to plan a cruise out of NOLA and were going to some of the plantations in the area, what weeks are good for the azaleas?

Mine usually start blooming around the end of February, and peak around the end of March.

I wouldn't be that concerned about a late freeze...........:rolleyes:

Very true for South La. However in N. Texas and N. La. there can be late freezes that hurt the amount of blooms. We hope to spend about 4 days pre cruise driving and sight seeing. It's all beautiful even without the azaleas but if you get a big bloom of azalea then WOW

 

So yea, it should all be good.
