DaveFr Posted October 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2011 More later but the significant news today is that, due to unsafe tendering conditions, the stop in Gloucester had to be cancelled. The Captain and Regent did a great job in quickly substituting an overnight stop in Boston. We should arrive in New York on time on the 23rd. Last night and this morning were very rough. In fact the Bar Harbor pilot was not able to get off the ship in Bar Harbor or Gloucester but had to stay on the Navigator until we reached Boston. Overall, it's been an excellent cruise. azgkrudi Posted October 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Good to hear from you, Dave! Sounds like most pax were happy with that change, anyway. :-) Hope to meet you when we board a week from today!
gnld Posted October 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2011 Glad to hear "it's been an excellent cruise" as we're doing a similar cruise (Montreal to NYC) next October on the Navigator. How chilly has the weather been? We see the northeast has been hit with an early snowstorm the past day or so -- looks like you missed it. Friends took the 2011 equivalent to your cruise and had good weather. Of course, next year may be completely different than this year but I doubt it will snow. :D Dave

jhp Posted October 31, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 31, 2011 wripro, DaveFr is now on his way to Bermuda, so I don't think he will be seeing any snow! I was on the Navigator with Dave and Joan from Montreal to FLL, and after we hit Boston the weather was beautiful. We had a perfect day in New York. The only glitch was that the port of Savannah put a cargo ship in front of us, so we spent two perfect days in Charleston before having one last sea day to FLL. Navigator is in great shape and from the comments of all who were in our group sailing together, everyone was more than pleased, and had a great time. The cruise consultant was very busy making lots of future bookings, since the 2013 schedules came out while we were aboard.
