jobell Posted October 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Does anyone know if you can bring a jar of olives onboard?I like to make dirty martinis. I cruise with friends who usually bring them in a ziploc bag or container and have had no problems. You could also take a ziploc and then get a plateful from the buffet and then fill your container. ;) Most of all....enjoy and have fun! :)
matj2000 Posted October 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Why would you not be able too?
Jimmy Geegitz Posted October 23, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Not sure. I really need the olive juice more than the olives.
Rosefloater Posted October 23, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Yes you can. I have never brought olives on board, but I know people who brought on jars of ice cream toppings in a jar (for an ice cream social) with no problems. I would pack it in your carryon. Cold Beach Posted October 31, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2011 Anyone care to clarify or veirfy this? You can bring jars of unopened food on the ship?
debster11 Posted October 31, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 31, 2011 Anyone care to clarify or veirfy this? You can bring jars of unopened food on the ship? We have always brought snacks and such with no problems. We usually bring a jar of pickled brussel sprouts and pickled asparagus for our bloody Mary's. Never had a problem. We put them in our carry on so they don't get broken.

I'm not a fan of brussels sprouts but the pickled asparagus sounds interesting.
conchead Posted October 31, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 31, 2011 Although it isn't exactly the same as out of a jar... In some states you can buy it in a liquor store, and also order it online. Just Google olive juice for sale. Dirty Tonys I think is one brand I bought once. It was relatively low priced, especially considering the number of jars of olives you would have to buy to get the same amount of juice. Don't forget to check locally too.
