tracyd1014 Posted October 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2011 If when in Alaska and it shows we get to port on embarkation day at 12:30 am, what time will they ask us to get off the ship? Our summer 2012 cruise of the glaciers north bound gets into Anchorage at 12:30 in the morning. Odd time.
Alaskanb Posted October 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Are you going into Whittier or Anchorage? If you are on Princess my understanding is that you disembark from about 7:30-8 on depending on what you are doing next --airport transfer, tour etc . The Alaska board may be able to help. Nancyquilts Posted October 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Don't worry - you won't have to get off that early in the morning. Ships generally get into disembarkation ports a few hours early, tho' 12:30am is pushing it. You will probably get off between 7:30 and 9:00, depending on your transportation at that end. Rare Coral Posted October 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2011 The ships do dock in Whittier at 12:30 am or so - it is not that far from the glaciers. If you are on a Princess tour - a lot of those tours start disembarking at 6 am (especially the tour that goes straight to Denali). Otherwise, you leave the ship around 8 or 9 in the morning. Though - technically you can walk off anytime you want.
