Buttercup229 Posted October 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Good Morning All, I am scheduled to sail Thursday, 10/27 on the Millineum, destination Key West, Cozumel. Hurricane Rina is heading straight there. Cozumel has already been evacuated. I know the ship will alter the itinerrary but you would think there would be weather update message on their website...right?
LadyBerard Posted October 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2011 We'll be on that sailing too. I'm almost positive we won't find out about any changes to the itinerary until we board.
sail2day Posted October 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2011 I would also agree that the revised itinerary will not be announced until the departure day. I am sure we will end up in Nassau.
MaryKP Posted October 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Someone posted on the roll call for this cruise that they asked Celebrity online and received a response that said we won't find out the new itinerary until we board tomorrow. Buttercup229 Posted October 26, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted October 26, 2011 I suspect Nassau too. I just told my traveling companion that if I never go to Nassau again it would be too soon. (10 times) I'll take any where the sun is shining. As I look outside my office window at the grey rainy weather.
sail2day Posted October 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Someone posted on the roll call for this cruise that they asked Celebrity online and received a response that said we won't find out the new itinerary until we board tomorrow. That does not surprise me since I asked a friend who works at RCCI whether any decisions concerning a revised itinerary have been made and he said that he was not aware of any revisions to the itinerary as of today's date. tob1647 Posted October 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 26, 2011 http://www.celebritycruises.com/aboutceleb/travelAlert.do?pagename=travel_alert_1 Full day in Key West!!! Not bad!!! What's good to do in Nassau? Go over to Atlantis? I haven't been to Nassau since I was 12 y/o on a cruise stop and then it was 55 degrees in February! John73 Posted October 31, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 31, 2011 if you go to Nassau there is a great place for a seafood soup. I'm sure it has a better name that than that though. I really do not like fishy things but last October on a Solstice W Caribbean cruise we were re-rerouted due to Maria (I think thats the name) and my gf convinced me to go to this one place in Nassau. The seafood soup they had was very good and not fishy. And the conch salad they had was very good. I just did a Bing search for Nassau conch salad and for the life of me can't find it. Sorry. But, if you find a cabbie who goes by M&M (first name Michael, forgot last name), he will do a great job for you.
