Our room on the Liberty is above the casino!

I think we have a problem too....according to this deck plan, we are not under under the Galley we are Under the Olympian dining room....Although it seems we are Mid ship....

Oceanview cabins category 6B cabin 2428/2431 all the way back are under the dining room- which is carpeted so no noise issues.

2426/2429 forward is the galley- the further forward (like the middle of that area the more noise will become an issue - one cabin in either direction can make all the difference in the world.

the galley runs 24/7

We are just off the Liberty yesterday. Had cabin 6343, starboard side. Def heard the music pretty loud and clear most nights, ear plugs and all. No smoke smell or dinging noise. I thought we would be ok, being that we were one of the last cabins at the end of the promenade, but the band is SO loud, it didn't matter that we weren't directly over the band. Would not stay there again.

If you are in a portside cabin (even cabin number), then you should be okay. Not knowing the difference with port and starboard sides, I was in a starboard balcony on deck 6 on the Glory. Had loud music from the promenade bar outside the casino every night until 1-2am. Was not happy. I only book portside now. Good luck

ditto on the stage on the starboard side by the casino... it started promtly at 1 PM and went until 1 AM

Thank you to all who took the time to reply. I spoke to our PVP and she told me that there would definitely not be any issues with smelling smoke (my biggest worry) and that she was very sure that we wouldn't be bothered by noise either. She told me that noise is a problem on another ship, but that she has never heard of any issues on the Liberty. Our only other option was to put all 4 of us in the same room and that would cost us more right now than we are paying for our two adjoining rooms.

Just looking forward to cruising! And yes, I always pack the squishy earplugs!

Just curious...how is it cheaper to book two adjoining cabins than 4 in one? We are doing 4 in one on two upcoming cruises and I don't see how if could be cheaper the other way but I would love to do it if it is. We have a balcony on lido.

Thanks!

I know We had 2 rooms booked and well we had gotten 2 price Drops so it was way cheaper for us to have 4 in the room than opposed to 2 adjoining rooms....So we changed it and the kids will stay with us not a big deal...our next cruise however we will have to get 2 rooms...LOL

I was just looking at maps of the Liberty, and I am discovering that our room is right above the casino! We are not late night people, we would probably be in bed wanting to sleep by midnight each night, will the noise from below bother us?

Hi,

yes it probably will especially if you are a light sleeper. The Slot Machine's are pretty loud in the Casino and they are open until 3 or 4 am. If you can, have them put you somewhere else. Your Travel Agent should have advised you on that. You want Cabins above and below you.

Have fun on your Cruise!

I guess because we booked Early Saver, and we booked in April, so the cabins that are left now are much more expensive.

Oh I see. I've never been able to find a good deal on two cabins instead of four people in one, but we usually book balconies. I've booked early saver for a May cruise and July cruise with four in the cabin each time. Although it doesn't bother me much to have four in one cabin, I would LOVE to be able to get two for the same price or cheaper.

We are in rooms 6355 and 6359 and it looks like we may be directly above the band/stage people are talking about. Anyone know for sure. Just called and tried to change rooms and was told the sailing is almost full and it's over a year away!!!

I think I'll call back and try to get a different person - I guess this is the time it would be good to have a PVP. I had originally booked rooms on the Empress deck but then we had another person decide to come so called last night and had the customer service rep change the rooms - didn't realize Upper deck was where it was - I'm used to the Legend where upper deck is between other cabin decks.

your cabin is 3 away from the noise- yes you will get the noise from that band that sets up after 9 and plays til the wee hours.

There are few rooms in that cat that will hold 3 people or connecting rooms at least.

you will need to pay for the next category higher= go to the empress deck and look for the stars in the cabin

Thanks, I switched to Empress. LOL - had to call back twice before I could! First girl told me there were no adjoining balcony rooms available on the ship. So I went to good old goccl irrman site and found all the double and triple cabins with adjoining balconies, called back and asked the next person to check each of the sets I gave him - and, yes, there were a pair open. They weren't showing as available on the Carnival website though.

Are you sure that's the right cabin #? Can't even find it on the deck plans!

It's on the center hall, inside.

You will not smell the cigarette smoke unless to stay in the casino a long time then go directly to your room. You might take some with you.

I don't think the band will bother you either. Many of the ships have added a band stand that does not show up on the map. It's near the casino bar against the wall. Just about right below balcony cabin 6371. There was no architectural modification put in place for these, no sound deadening or anything. Just speakers almost right against the ceiling. We could feel the music in our shower. It was only bad when one specific DJ was playing, we could tell when other music was playing but it was not so loud.

You get more than 3 cabins away and you don't hear anything in the cabin but you can still hear it in the hall.

Most PVPs have limited knowledge of the ship's details. It doesn't hurt to ask but even the ones I like best have been on only 1 or 2 cruises.

Have stayed on Liberty deck 6 above the casino, more specifically above the craps table. We could hear the machine bells and the craps players until wee hours every night. I will be back on the Liberty this summer and made sure we would not be above the casino.

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling to keep the names of the decks straight. I thought Lido was always deck 10, so I booked our next Liberty cabin on Deck 8. I was so upset with myself when I found out we were under the pool deck. I moved it as quick as I could based on all the postings on CC about deck washing and chairs moving at 4 am. Now we're on the Lido for the first time and reviews seem positive for that deck.

Never under the galley, above the casino or below the pool. Always safest to be sandwiched between cabin only decks.

They don't make it easy. While the Rivera is almost always the first deck with cabin and the Lido is the first level of the open decks, the number of floors in between vary. The Riviera is not always deck 1, the Verandah deck is not always below the Lido, the Panorama is not always above the Lido, and the suites are not always on the Empress.

Not necessarily true.

Some cruise lines the Riveria deck is a higher deck (princess)

and with carnival--the decks are different-- deck 6 is now empress Not upper.

and lido deck is deck 9 on some carnival ships

you really need to have an open deck plan when looking for a cabin.
