sue7045 Posted October 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2011 I have also been onboard during hurricane Noel. I give alot of credit to both the Captain and his crew! The worst of it all was that we had to go to different ports. (Like that was a problem!!!)
tagheuer Posted October 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2011 there is a 50 page thread on this issue, analyzing it to death, with tons of eyewitness accounts, videos, pictures, etc. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1501628&highlight=freedom

GSuitesailing Posted October 27, 2011 #10 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Thanks for sharing that link. I had seen this before from the passenger who shot it on youtube, but it was in several different videos. I was surprised to see this link was from the Weather Channel. Looks like they edited it and put all of the "highlights" into one piece.

dtenel Posted October 27, 2011 #13 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Thanks for sharing. I'm glad I wasn't on that particular sailing. We were on that sailing and I have to say that none of the video's shot actually captured how strong that storm really was. The captain did a fantastic job, as did the crew. That was a nasty, nasty storm.
Jimnbigd Posted October 28, 2011 #14 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Mine only went to page 20....I guess my internet must be broken...where can I find the other 30 pages? The number of pages might vary depending if you show the signatures (I don't) and the font size. A better question: How many actual posts?

gcuecruise Posted October 28, 2011 #17 Share Posted October 28, 2011 We were on that sailing and I have to say that none of the video's shot actually captured how strong that storm really was. The captain did a fantastic job, as did the crew. That was a nasty, nasty storm. I assumed that was the case, as the camera was presumably rocking (via the videographer) a similar extent as the ship, thus negating capturing the true (at least visual) effect.
