Rare JustinPlusLauren Posted October 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Hi! I would like to mail some postcards to some friends while in port, as well as some stamps for my collection. Is there a post office near where the cruise ship is docked, and if so, where is it? Thanks!
Will in sunny FL Posted October 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2011 You walk out of the Tourist Village & go to your left. Follow that road toward downtown & the Swing Bridge. Before the Swing Bridge & on your right you will come upon the PO. In that same area you will also find the second local water taxi, & you will pass the first water taxi right after you leave the Tourist Village & both are on the left side of the road. This info dates back a few years so if someone has more current info, please chime in. Enjoy Belize. Bill in FL
Rare JustinPlusLauren Posted November 17, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted November 17, 2011 Thank you so much for the great info! I looked it up on Google Maps and it looks like the post office is still there. I have another question - does anyone know the hours of operation for the post office? can I purchase postcards there? thanks!
TMLAalum Posted November 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2011 Thanks for asking this question. We like to send postcards to our grandsons from each country we visit. After entrusting one to a tour guide in Tangiers, which never arrived, and another to our St. Petersburg guide that arrived only after I questioned the tour company as to when & if Eugene actually mailed them, I'm all about dropping postcards into the mailslot myself.
