Southampton Car Rentals

We are arriving on the Oriana next April and wish to hire a rental with a dropoff at LGW a week or so later. Do any of the companies provide a pickup service from dockside or are there cabs available from the dock. Information would be appreciated, great variation in prices dependant where in the world you book them

We have hired a car to drive home after a one way fly cruise. We used Europcar which is about a 3 minute drive from the ship. There are plenty of taxis available.

 

We found the one way car hire prices very reasonable.

Most of the major rental companies have offices close (within one mile) to the port and most will pick you up and take you to their depot to collect the car. You just need to confirm this when you book and get the phone no of the Southampton office to call them when you know you will be off the ship. Failing that there are always loads of taxis available. Google "car hire in Southampton".

For a one off trip we always use Manny 07584293308 who has a nice comfortable people carrier he is a fully registered driver and is very reliable and helpful. However, he does need to be booked in advance.
