Parking at NO port?

Although we didn't drive to NOLA, we had a fellow from our roll call pick us up from the hotel we stayed pre-cruise and parked in the parking garage directly across from the port and I believe it was either $10 per day or $12 per day to park. They required full payment up front when entering the garage. :)

$16 per day at the cruise terminal (get ready to wait in a long line). $12 per day at Fulton St garage. 5 min from terminal with a free shuttle, drops you at the front door.

Would you happen to know how much for an RV?

We want to do the self-disembark. Will the shuttle be available that early for Fulton St. Garage?

Thanks,

Leah

Thanks for the info! We have a person with limited mobility in our group. She is not able to walk a long distance, or stand for a length of time. We are trying to find the most convienient way of transportation. We are booked in a suite. Do you think we will have a long wait standing in line if we get to the port around 10 am?

Thanks

Leah

Have sailed out of New Orleans several times. We always get there around 10:30. If you are driving, you may have to wait in line until they start letting folks to enter the lot... just depends.

Last time we stayed at the Holiday Inn in the French Quarter and just took a taxi to the port. They drove up, the porter was right there to take our suitcases and we walked right in, no line, zipped right through.

(Holiday Inn offers a cruise package that includes your parking if you want)

You may need to notify the cruise lines and ask for assistance to board.

There is a zig zag ram that has a pretty good incline (about 4 sections going up) and your friend might have a hard time. The cruise line will come down with a wheel chair.

People seem to really get in a hurry to get on board and like to hike it in a pretty good speed. Slow walkers beware:)

N.O is a great port enjoy!

We have a parking spot reserved at Fulton St in December. You can drop someone off at the parking garage office, they have some indoor seating until the shuttle is loaded. They drop you right at the cruise terminal front door, I'm sure you can get a cruise rep to assist with a wheelchair. Once checked in it is a hike to an upstairs waiting room where we were boarded by zone numbers. This is where the cruise rep comes in handy if anyone has trouble walking. We passed a LONG line of cars waiting to get into the terminal parking facility. We found Fulton St to be very convenient.
