Grenada Grand, Grand Anse Beach—walking, eating, shopping--help please

We will be staying at the Grenada Grand before and after our trip on the tall ship Diamant. We’ve never been there before, so it would be great if someone could answer these questions for us about distances from the hotel.

 

1. Is the Nutmeg restaurant a walk or a cab ride? We’ve heard that eating there is a must-do.

2. How far is the spice market on the beach?

3. Is there a grocery store within walking distance?

4. Are any of the above open on Sunday?

5. In Grenada and the other islands on the Diamant itinerary--(Bequia, Tobago Cays, Mayreau, Union Island etc.)—would we be better off using $EC or $USD. If $EC, is there a bank within walking distance of the hotel?
