snorkeling excursions - what's the difference?

What's the difference between

We have our own snorkel gear. We're just looking for a place to snorkel, chill out, snorkel some more, and get back to the ship before it sails in the afternoon.

Other than price it is hard to know.

 

My guess it they are two different resorts, one being Bananarama and the other else where. It may be worth while to email the Beach Break web site and ask where on West Bay Beach they take you.

I'd bet that with either tour you will wind up at the same place - Bannaramma which is located right by Tayabana Beach on Westside Beach.

Actually Bananarama is at least six resorts up West Bay Beach from Tabyana. While they are close they are not next to each other.

 

By the by ~ The easiest walk in reef snorkeling Roatan has to offer is off of Tabyana a three to five minute walk down the Beach from Bananarama.

 

I do not recognize the pics from the Beach Break web site though the bar looks a bit like Thirsty Turtle it is pretty much standard beach bar so it could be anywhere. If you email them to find out I would be very interested where the Beach Break people take you.

We decided to skip West Bay Beach entirely and go to Maya Key through the ship. It seems a lot more laid back, and the ship has shuttles (tenders?) running regularly so we can go at our own pace.
