CCL Casino Host

I have received very nice gifts in my cabin upon arrival from OPC but I don't understand going to the casino to "introduce" myself to the casino host. Can someone explain to me how to go about this and why does the person at the OPC tell you to do so? I'm never sure how to find the host or what to say to them. Should I be expecting something?

All my naive questions are showing me to be something of a newbie at this!

I simply tell the pit boss at the first table I sit at that I would like to meet the casino host. They will make their way over and you introduce yourself, say how delighted you are to meet them, and ask that your play be rated.

This casino host has a list of OPc members before you board. It helps put the face to the name. They will often check on you and ask how you are enjoying your experience and occasionally buy you a drink.
