2 Cruises Booked - Can I buy a FCC on first and use it for 2nd?

We are sailing 12/11 on the Valor. I also have a cruise booked for 1/7 on the Fascination. Both are paid in full. Can I buy a FCC on the first cruise and use it for the 2nd even though it is already paid in full?

Yes, you can do that (contrary to what the certificate says on the back side).

The $100 cost of the cert was credited back to the card I used to pay off the cruise and the OBC has been credited to my S&S account.

Ok, I have seen them for sale on past cruises but never messed with them, How do they work or what do you get for your money?

I was able to do it.

 

I think (and this is just my guess) the difference is whether or not at the time you bought your future cruise certificate your cruise fare is still fully refundable. Mine was.

 

My cc was charge $100 at the time of purchase and then when I applied the certificate to my existing reservation, the payment of $100 showed up in my payments towards the cruise (along with the OBC).

 

P.S. A quick reminder - FCC is fully refundable within 2 years of purchase, so if you can't use you can return it for full refund.
