Question About Labadee Beach

Recommended Posts

The last time I was at Labadee the "Barefoot Beach" it was rather rocky getting into the water. Does anyone know if the rocks are still a problem ? I need to know if I should pack water shoes.

Thanks !

Barefoot Beach is now a suite guest only area.

The beach is still rocky as it has always been. I don't use water shoes on it but it does require some ginger walking to get in deep enough where you can swim.

Also bajathree is correct. Barefoot Beach is a suite guest only area. But you can rent a cabana there for the day if any are available after they have been offered to the suite guests.

We were on Barefoot Beach last month and I didn't think it was too bad. When we were then in 2009 we went to another beach (can't remember which one) and there were huge rocks under the water. Not a very good experience for our first time in Haiti. The sand is not soft on the beach, more like small crushed shells (my husband put on his crocs)
