Swimming pools open?

I tried posting this on the NCL general boards and got no response, so I am gonna try it here. We will be sailing the first of the season's cruises to Alaska on the NCL Spirit, May 14th. A question for those that have been on this cruise in prior years, does NCL keep the pool heated and available in Alaska? I figure that the the hot tubs will be popular, but how about swimming??? Any polar bears willing to take a dip in a warm pool when the air outside is very chilly??

I do not know about NCL. But I have been on 2 Princess cruises in the early season. The pools were open, but mostly empty. One of the kid's programs had a teen group party in the pool one afternoon -- all 13 of them. The hot tubs were busy.

I too have been on a Princess to Alaska. The pools were not being used and I don't believe they were even available. The "hot" tubs were cold...:eek:
