Can you snorkel during a storm? Murky water...newbie

The weather forecast indicates that there will be storms next week and we are pre-booked on a shore excursion trip involving an open sail boat and snorkeling. I understand that water gets murky during storms and you won't be able to see anything. Any thoughts? Should I just cancel the booking and wait and see? I don't want to be stuck with a bad shore excursion where I'm shivering on a sail boat and diving into the freezing water without being able to see anything. Thanks!

The thunderstorms typically arrive in the early evening or late afternoon; if the weather is that bad they will cancel the excursion and refund your $$. I would not cancel the excursion - you have a great chance of having a wonderful time. Good luck! :)
