Prickly Pear Island, Great Bird Island or Dickenson Bay?

Any opinions on which is the best beach?? (and least jellyfish likely!)

As beaches go I'd have to say Dickenson Bay. Neither Bird nor Prickly Pear Islands have much in the way of a beach, although Prickly Pear has a bar/restaurant for a more unusual location to hang out.

We did Prickly Pear Island a couple of years ago' date=' and I can't wait to go back. The snorkeling was just OK, but the entire experience was great.[/quote']

How did you get to Prickly Pear? We saw a private tour for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. We are there on Wednesday. Thanks for the info.

We booked the excursion through Royal Caribbean. It is still offered as their Antiguan Crusoe Island Escape. I see you are doing Princess. I don't see where they specify Prickly Pear Island in their descriptions. I did find this in the Prickly Pear website:

(Special trips can be arranged any day of the week!)

Miguel is the elderly gentleman that owns the island. He was wonderful and so friendly. His son manages the business now, he was also very nice. Maybe you can email or call to arrange a private pick up.

Thanks. We will be in Antigua on one of the off days. My friend and I both had emailed him but hadn't gotten a response. So I posted here and we went looking for something else and found a cool 4 person snorkel trip. We finally received a response but it was too late. Maybe next year.
