HMC Cancelled after booking cabanna

Has this ever happened to anyone? I booked a cabanna for Half Moon Cay, then Carnival changed from HMC to Freeport. My credit card was charged and I have tried calling Carnival 3 times to get my money back to no avail.

I don't know if things have changed, but 3 years ago that happened to us. The amount showed up as an on board credit on my ship account. Hope this helped.

I've had a Carnival excursion canceled (Jamaica, not HMC) and it showed up on the cruise as onboard credit.

I'm sure you will get it back, just offering my sympathies for losing HMC, especially to Freeport!

When are you sailing? Why did they cancel? I am going to HMC in May and booked this itinerary for HMC and have already booked my cabana. If Carnival changed my itinerary I would be one very upset person :mad:.

We are sailing 2/18/12. We booked in March of 2011 (especially for HMC) and in April I booked the cabanna. In May they changed the port (bummer but Freeport is better than NY in Feb) I've tried calling Carnival 3 times to get the money back. No one at Carnival has suggested an obc (which I would be happy with). They just tell me it will be 3-5 days.
