Thanks for any info:( 19 cruises and counting.... If you read that on the front page, it was something they tried a few years back. We brought one with 2 months ago on Goldie. Pam in CA Posted November 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2011 Did anybody out there hear that Princess was NOT allowing any hair dryers to be brought on board anymore ???Princess has always allowed hair dryers and, I'm sure, has no intention of not allowing them. Carnival or RCCL, can't remember which, banned them but a firestorm ensued and they reversed their decision very quickly. There was a CC article recently about the worst blunders ever by cruise lines and along with NCL's glass bathroom "walls" and sink in the cabin was the hairdryer debacle. lovevacadays Posted November 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2011 No problem bringing a hair dryer on Princess. I did back in May and have every cruise prior.
OCruisers Posted November 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2011 We've always taken our our hair dryer on Princess cruises (latest Feb 11) without a problem.
Happy ks Posted November 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 26, 2011 If Princess made a rule that we weren't able to bring aboard blow dryers, I'm afraid I'd have to cancel with them. I tried their wall mounted blow dryers...uh, no thanks, I could get my hair dried faster with a hand held fan. I have hard to deal with hair (not curly or unruly, the opposite, fine and silky and flat). I need my hair dried with round brushes and heat!
