I just got back from the Elation yesterday. It was great. The refurb was noticeable. We had a flat panel in E98 Oceanview. The carpets were all new. We had no complaints at all. We were worried about Progreso because of some of the posts we have seen, but we loved it! We went on the VIP All Inclusive Resort tour. It was awesome. There was shopping at the port. We really enjoyed it. You can't always believe the posts you read. We were pleasantly surprised.

Can you tell me what band was on board? Glad you had a great time. My only concern is that a four day will be much too short. Sigh. :)

Did you take the VIP tour on your own or though the ship? How much was it?

The band was called Trinidad something. I can't remember exactly. It was just 2 guys.It was a 5 day cruise. I thought it would feel short, too. But, it didn't. We did so much it felt like a 7 day.

We booked the tour through Carnival for 69.95. it included a great all u can eat Mexican buffet and open bar all day. The bus ride there was very informative and fun. We felt like it was worth the price. The hotel was gorgeous. You can look at it online at http://www.reefyucatan.com.
