rubymn Posted November 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2011 I just booked a cruise on NCL and I was wondering if anyone knows how I go about buying a bottle of rum for my room. The gal I booked through said to go to "group events" but I can't find that anywhere. Thanks for your help. No I don't want to smuggle it on....... coka Posted November 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2011 Try the phone number or email address for the group event coordinator here: http://www2.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/bon-voyage-gifts Not sure if this is what agent meant but it is a start. coka
NW Pacific Posted November 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2011 From what I read in Oct. it has changed how to order a bottle of liquor to be waiitng in your cabin. It use to be email groupevent, name of your ship, ect. NOw I have read you need to call reservations 800-327-7300 and request a bar setup. Let us know if this works

Kaye from Chicagoland Posted November 28, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2011 We ordered through our PCC - it was easy and we were sent a receipt for the purchase instantly. It looks like the bottle will be in the room on our first day.

I too ordered my initial setup using the Dawn email address, however when trying to add items have received no reply lately. Phoned the number, was transferred to another department, and was able to order what I needed.

kenb Posted November 29, 2011 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2011 If you do a search for liquor set ups yo should find a price list. I paid $83 for a 1 liter bottle of Absolut. You do not pay the 15% gratuity charge. Beyond the bottle of liquor you get nothing else, no sodas or mixers.
Azure Moon Posted November 29, 2011 #9 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Thanks for your help, will call. I did email got no response. Curious to the cost of a bottle and set ups. See post #13 in this thread for a price list http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1469080&highlight=bar+set+up+p On Edit: When looking at the above price list, it showed Crown Royal Special Reserve at $103, but I paid more than that on our July 10-17, 2011 Spirit sailing. Here is another thread with another price list. This one shows the $120 I paid for my bottle of CRSR. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1453063&highlight=crown+royal+special+reserve[/url]. See post #20. jackcat16 Posted December 2, 2011 #10 Share Posted December 2, 2011 I called 1-866-625-1159, and ordered a bottle of Captain Morgan and a bottle of Seagrams. They were $63.00 each. Paid in full and the receipt was emailed to me immediately. Worth it in the long run!!!:D
