Jameseric Posted August 29, 2015 #26 Share Posted August 29, 2015 Not sure why some have such an issue with reviving old threads. I think when one has an overwhelming trove of knowledge on a topic, that topic becomes one's own possession, somehow, and must be tended and tut-tutted over. Generosity there can be hard to extend it would seem. On the subset-topic of viewfinder or none, that is the little Samsung's potential deal-breaker for sure. Maybe because in my case this item stands in line behind both camcorder and GoPro, I expect it to do less, to be less exquisite than if I were, say, examining the histogram display every shot? For me the need is to grab the pic NOW and move along. All theoretical for awhile longer, no dollars exchanged yet.
TruckerDave Posted August 29, 2015 #27 Share Posted August 29, 2015 You so do realize the last post was almost 4 years ago right??
rockdoctor Posted August 29, 2015 #28 Share Posted August 29, 2015 iPhone cameras are so good that I only use my DSLR for specialized photography like whale watching. For that, IMHO, a 600 mm lens is a must.
Jameseric Posted August 30, 2015 #29 Share Posted August 30, 2015 You so do realize the last post was almost 4 years ago right?? Yup. I'm still having difficulty with linkage here. Obviously these latter posts (which I have acknowledged blundering into) don't touch the OP's situation anymore. At least one hopes not after, what, 48 months... Having assured CCers on that score, what bearing, direct or indirect, does that have on subsequent discussion and input? I will make a risky guess that the basic issues have changed much less than our hairlines. Irreverent, more or less sorry.
