libno Posted November 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2011 We will be arriving in Newark at 10:30am for a cruise out of cape liberty on the Silhouette in March. Can anyone tell me the easiest and most affordable (of course) way to get to the port, and how long the journey is? thanks for any tips you can give. marise:)
megr1125 Posted November 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Cab...around $50 plus tip (give or take 5 bucks or so) and about 20 minutes...you should be able to check in-and boarding generally starts between 11:30 and noon give or take.... car service will run about the same..... libno Posted December 1, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted December 1, 2011 Thanks for the response Megr1125. Much appreciated. I think we will take a cab rather than fight the crowds on the shuttle bus;) marise

annchan Posted December 2, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2011 For one person, should I arrange for a car or take a cab from Penn Station in Newark to the Liberty Cruise Terminal? Is the pricing about the same? I plan to arrange for a van of some sort on return as there will be five of us and bags then. Please offer suggestions. Thanks. megr1125 Posted December 2, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2011 it will cost about the same.....50-ish dollars....with a car service at least you know the amount. cabs are basically a flat rate from the airport but i am not sure about from the train station as i've never done that....
