I posted a note for you under the Dawn Shore Excursion to Disney, but didn't know if you would check back to view it.

We are also booked on the 4/17/2005 Dawn.

Are you planning to take the bus out of Providence to NYC?

We are also going to WDW but are debating the pros/cons of renting a car and driving (we have Plus options leftover) to Typhoon Lagoon or taking the bus.

What are your plans?

Hi Joanne icon_smile.gif

Yes, I responded to your post on the Disney thread.

You just might see us on that bus from PVD! Right now we have 19 in our group. I am considering chartering our own private bus through my TA. If so, I'll let you in on it! Of course the pricing would have to equal or beat NCL's bus. I just hate the thought of wasting time by stopping to pick up other Pax and that dreadful McD's icon_rolleyes.gif

We also have 3 plus options left over on our PHP passes. We spent 15 wonderful nights at Disney over Xmas & New Years. Actually, we spent only 11 nights in Disney and 4 nights at Universal's Royal Pacific Hotel. We have 1 park day and 3 plus features left. We might end up going to the water park, but our original plan was to spend the day at Magic Kingdom.

Even if it meant paying a little bit extra, I think it would be worth it to have door to door service from the ship to Disney via a private car service. Time is money! When we used the car service in Dec. they offered to stop at a grocery store for us to pick up snacks, etc. for the kids. We'll continue to research this. If it works out, great! If not, we'll be on that bus too..... LOL

Do you have any plans for the other ports?

~Wendy

Hi Wendy

We went to WDW two years in a row for the first week of December. It is awesome at holiday time isn't it? When we went this past year it was a little too nippy for the water parks. My son, who will be 7 in November, is a bit timid when it comes to rides/water parks. This is our first attempt.

You are right about time being $$. Did you look into a car service out of Port Canaveral? I am guessing Happy or Tiffany is out of Orlando and they would have to come from there, but i may be wrong.

I haven't decided what to do in Miami - maybe Hotel FountainBleu or the airboat ride.

Nassau-I am not crazy about Nassau AT all. We were on the Explorer last May and we went to the Atlantis. We used the beach at the Sheraton, but there really isn't much time. We may just have a leisurly day by the pool.

How about you? Are you twins going? What a great 40th birthday present.

I would be happy to share info.

Joanne

Hi Joanne!

Yes, we are bringing the kids along with us, as always. I am really looking forward to experiencing an NCL freestyle cruise. I know it will be very different than what we've enjoyed on Celebrity. Hopefully, there will be a little more going on in the evenings on this ship.

I really haven't looked into the other ports. We love the beach and will probably spend the day at a hotel on the beach. I agree with you about Nassau. Its not my first choice for an island, but many years ago I went to Treasure Island (I think that's the name!) and it was great. Did you have to pay to enter Atlantis? I would love to check that place out, but there's just not enough time in this port!

We might stay on the ship and enjoy the pools. The best thing about this cruise is that we don't have to fly to get there. Hopefully, the sail down the coast will be calm because my mother in law is so afraid of the water and boats. I can't believe she agreed to go on this cruise!

You mentioned that your son is a little bit timid of the scary rides at Disney. So is my son Zechariah! He and I are wimps! LOL His twin sister Jane is a dare devil, just like her dad. She went on Space Mountain when she was 3 1/2 years old! If I had known, I would never have let her go.

Do you realize what today is? One year from today we will be disembarking from this cruise! How sad is that??? icon_frown.gif

We have lots of planning to do. Once I get through this Saturday (Z & J's 9th birthday party) I will have more time to research. Have you seen the post with copies of the bar and specialty restaurant menus? What great info! Let me know if you want me to dig that up for you.

Hey Wendy

The Atlantis only allows you access to places that you can spend $$ at. They allow you to roam the casino, shops and aquarium. But I can understand since the people who stay there pay big bucks to stay there and don't want it overrun with cruisers. Its too bad that we werent there long enough, I would have considered a day room at the Comfort Suites.

I am glad Jonathan is not a daredevil then we would have to ride with him. Surprising, he rode test track twice. But he was terrified of Big THunder Mountain.

As far as your mother-in-law goes, maybe you could get her a patch or one of those electronic writstband. We have done the Boston-Bermuda many times and the seas were always rough. My mother-in-laws cousin didnt come out for days. Two days after we got to Bermuda to be exact. She never cruised again.

I have an idea......instead of tying up the boards and double-posting, you can email me. My email address is joannefry@tmlp.com

Whenever you get a chance and want to compare notes, etc., feel free to email me. Good luck with the kids' birthday party. I didnt realize you had one of each. That's great!

Enjoy the party!!

Joanne
