First time on NCL

After 4 cruises with Carnival, I am giving NCL a try.

What are their policies regarding bringing my own sodas and wine onboard.

Also do they have something like Carnival's Bon Voyage where I can pre purchase a bottle of alcohol?

You can bring soda on board, or bottle water, without any problem. We just tape a luggage tag on a 12 pack and they deliver it to the room.

For wine, they charge a "corkage fee" per bottle. We've never done it, but others here have. Someone will have to chime in on the amount they charge; they went to a different amount depending on the size of the bottle, but I think they are back to a standard flat charge now. Something like $15 ???

from the NCL website FAQs:

Wine & Champagne Policy

Guests may bring bottles of wine and champagne on board. When bottles are brought on board and served or consumed in any restaurant, public room area or in their stateroom, a corkage fee will be charged according to bottle sizes noted below.

750 ml Bottle: $15.00

1,500 ml Magnum: $30.00

Wine or champagne sent directly to the ship by travel agents, friends, family, etc. or from another retail source, are subject to the same fees. Box wines are not allowed on board.

You can order liquor in advance by calling NCL reservations...they don't have a list that they can send you, so just ask for what you want and they will tell you the price. It will seem expensive.
