Port to st pete airport

Hello, My family is flying into St. Pete the night before our cruise. Ive already decided to take a taxi to the hotel and shuttle to the port in the am but after the cruise our flight does not leave until 5:30 p.m. and Im not sure what to do. I dont want to sit around the airport all day. Any suggestions? Thank you
